Purpose

This policy explains how SecureRoomz provides technical support while respecting user privacy and confidentiality.

General Principles

SecureRoomz values user trust and privacy. Support staff do not access user data unless explicitly authorized.

  • Support staff do not access user files or room contents under normal circumstances.
  • Users retain full control over their documents.
  • Support access is strictly limited to authorized situations.

Support Access to Data

Occasionally, resolving a technical issue may require temporary access to user data.

  • All access is logged and auditable by both the user and SecureRoomz.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is critical when support staff access user data.

  • Any access requires a signed Support NDA or acknowledgment of confidentiality terms for each incident.
  • Support staff are prohibited from copying, distributing, or using data for any purpose other than resolving the support request.

User Responsibilities

Users play a role in maintaining data security during support sessions.

  • Users must explicitly authorize access to specific rooms or documents.
  • Users should redact sensitive information whenever possible before requesting support.
  • Users agree to comply with the Support NDA during any support session involving confidential data.

Limitation of Liability

Temporary support access is limited and authorized by the user.

  • SecureRoomz is not liable for indirect exposure of confidential data if access was explicitly authorized.
  • Users acknowledge that temporary access is necessary only to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
